Demonstrating a strong commitment to nurturing leadership talent and building a strong, future-ready management pipeline, National Finance, the Sultanate of Oman’s leading finance and leasing company, has announced the launch of ‘Irtiqaa’, a dedicated Women’s Leadership Development Program designed to strengthen leadership capabilities and enhance professional competencies. The launch coincides with Omani Women’s Day, reaffirming National Finance’s commitment to advancing women’s leadership and professional development. The initiative further underscores National Finance’s focus on fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace where talent is nurtured, potential is unlocked and career progression is supported through intensive learning programmes and continuous development.

The Irtiqaa Women’s Leadership Development Program is designed to strengthen women employees’ leadership competencies, enhance decision-making and equip them to navigate evolving business demands and complex workplace dynamics. The inaugural cohort will comprise 15 women from supervisory, specialist, managerial and equivalent professional roles, who will undertake a structured, intensive learning journey aimed at honing their individual strengths, broadening their leadership perspectives and preparing them to assume greater responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to National Finance’s continued growth.

Irtiqaa comprises six integrated modules designed to strengthen individual effectiveness, leadership aptitude and organizational impact. ‘Self-Leadership & Emotional Mastery’ focuses on building self-awareness, emotional intelligence and personal efficiency, while ‘Managing Time, Energy & Flow’ enhances prioritization, focus, resilience and sustainable performance. ‘Assertiveness & Conflict Resolution’ equips participants to navigate difficult conversations and deliver constructive feedback, while ‘Optimizing Diverse Teams’ fosters inclusive collaboration and harnesses diverse perspectives. ‘Overcoming Bias & Ethical Leadership’ strengthens the ability to recognize bias, exercise sound judgement and uphold principled decision-making, while ‘Leading with Influence’ develops executive presence, strategic confidence and leadership impact. This holistic approach is designed to enrich participants’ professional journeys, and equip them with the practical skills and insights needed to realize their full potential as effective and impactful leaders.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Tariq Sulaiman Al Farsi, Chief Executive Officer at National Finance, stated, “Women bring invaluable perspectives, strategic insight and diverse strengths that enrich decision-making, drive performance and contribute to the nation’s progress. We believe that nurturing this talent requires more than recognizing potential; it calls for a deliberate investment in building capabilities, broadening leadership outlooks and creating pathways for professional advancement. Through Irtiqaa, we are translating this commitment into action by equipping our female workforce with the confidence and leadership acumen to shape stronger and more flexible teams, and play an increasingly influential role in driving long-term success.”

Through its sustained investment in employee learning and development, National Finance continues to cement its position as an employer of choice, fostering a culture of engagement, professional growth and long-term career progression. The launch of Irtiqaa further reinforces this commitment by advancing the development of national talent at the leadership level, building critical skills and strengthening the leadership pipeline to support organizational resilience and contribute to the evolving needs of the Sultanate of Oman’s financial services sector.

As the inaugural Irtiqaa cohort embarks on its leadership development journey, National Finance advances its strategic vision of cultivating strong, high-potential female leaders equipped to shape the company’s future. By investing in women’s leadership, the company emphasizes its pledge to advancing national priorities for women’s empowerment and economic participation, while fostering a more inclusive and diverse workforce that creates lasting value for the company as well as communities across the nation.
