OQ, the global energy investment group, has concluded its four-week Energy Pioneers Summer Programme 2026, engaging more than 270 children in practical learning experiences designed to broaden their knowledge, develop new skills and support their personal growth.
Delivered as part of OQ’s social investment programmes in collaboration with OMRAN Group and the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities, the Energy Pioneers Programme combined interactive workshops, practical activities and field experiences covering safety, entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), innovation, sustainability, tourism and Omani identity.
More than 110 volunteers contributed over 950 hours to the programme, sharing their knowledge and practical experience with participants across its four thematic tracks. Their involvement brought OQ’s expertise closer to the community, connecting employee volunteering with meaningful learning opportunities. The programme also worked with the Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities to support inclusive participation and extend these opportunities to children with disabilities.

Investing in these capabilities is an essential step towards preparing a promising generation capable of continuous learning, development and active contribution to Oman's progress.”
