Sohar International’s MSX discussion session reinforces growth strategy

Sohar International held a Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) discussion session on 10 August 2026, reaffirming its commitment to transparent dialogue with shareholders and the larger investment community. 

Organised in coordination with the MSX and conducted virtually, the session brought together shareholders, analysts, and market participants. 

The session included a review of the bank’s financial performance for the six months ended 30th June 2026 and outlined strategic priorities for the period ahead in the context of the current economic environment as well as current and evolving risks and opportunities. The presentation and interactive Q&A session featured Abdulwahid Al Murshidi, Chief Executive Officer, Craig Bell, Chief Financial Officer and Fahad Al Zadjali, Chief Islamic Banking Officer.

Commenting on the session, Abdulwahid Al Murshidi said: “This session is part of how we build trust through transparency. Beyond the numbers, it’s about showing investors the thinking behind our decisions and how we are positioning the bank for the next phase of growth. We are managing the business with discipline across capital, risk, and opportunity, while investing in digital, people, and customer experience. Our focus remains on delivering sustainable value to shareholders and playing a constructive role in the development of Oman’s financial sector in line with Oman Vision 2040."

To ensure broad access, the session was delivered via a digital platform. The format supported real-time questions and direct interaction with senior management, underscoring Sohar International’s approach to open and consistent stakeholder engagement. Discussion covered key financial performance metrics across profitability, credit risk, funding & liquidity and capital. 

As the bank continues to strengthen its institutional capabilities, it remains focused on sustaining performance momentum and capturing opportunities in an evolving financial landscape.
